NSW: Man abducted, pregnant wife bound, by five men

SYDNEY, Dec 16 AAP - A man was abducted and his pregnant wife bound and held against
her will after five men - one of them armed - invaded their Sydney home.

The men later dumped the 32-year-old man, who was subsequently reunited with his 30-year-old
wife.

The attack occurred at the couple's home in suburban Blacktown yesterday morning, but
police released details only today in a bid to find the five men.

Two men invaded the house about 5am (AEDT) yesterday. Three other men, one of whom
had a shortened firearm, arrived soon after, police said.

Two of the intruders stayed with the pregnant woman while they ransacked the house
and cut phone lines.

The two men then bound the woman and left the house, but she was able to free herself.

The other men drove with the man, in his car, to a hotel at Punchbowl.

There, the men tried in vain to access the hotel safe.

Instead, they stole money from a number of cash registers and fled.

Police were alerted, and found the man at the hotel and his wife at the couple's home.

Both were unhurt.

Officers want to question three men of Middle Eastern appearance, another of Asian
appearance and a fifth of Pacific Islander appearance.
