Qld: Man kills noisy neighbour, court told
A court in Brisbane has been told that a man slashed his hearing-impaired neighbour'sthroat for having his television turned up too loud.
GEORGE GERARD GOELDNER has been charged with the murder of FRANCIS BUTCHER in the Brisbanesuburb of Fairfield in January this year.
The court's heard that 47-year-old GOELDNER told police he went to confront Mr BUTCHERabout an ongoing problem with noise levels.
GOELDNER allegedly said he held a kife to Mr BUTCHER'S throat but his neighbour trippedand fell onto the blade.
Mr BUTCHER had one leg and used crutches.
Prosecutor ANDREW LOSSBERT has told the court the injuries Mr BUTCHER sustained couldnot have occurred in the manner described.
The hearing continues.
